THE PROBLEM

Hypertension (high blood pressure) is defined as ≥130/80 mmHg, and it silently damages the arteries over years, driving heart attacks, strokes and heart failure. Most people feel nothing until it is too late.

THE EVIDENCE


Renal denervation. Interrupt the signal, drop the pressure.

Beyond the heart and blood vessels, the kidneys play a pivotal role in blood-pressure control. Overactive sympathetic nerves around the renal arteries keep pressure dangerously high.

Renal denervation (RDN) is a minimally invasive procedure: a catheter is guided through a small groin puncture into the renal arteries, where it ablates the overactive nerves from inside the vessel to interrupting the signal that drives hypertension.

THE TECHNOLOGY


Our cold treatment: the Renal Freezer.

We use controlled cooling using liquid N₂O to selectively deactivate the renal nerves.

Our unique cryo-balloon conforms to the vessel wall for highly efficient energy transfer, reaching a broad nerve area. Because our cold treatment is tissue-selective, it destroys nerve fibres while preserving the integrity of the vessel wall.
